Dr. Goldson-Barnaby is a Senior Lecturer and researcher in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, The UWI, Mona. Her area of specialisation is food chemistry and she is investigating natural colourants and flavour components of tropical fruits, anti-oxidant activity and the activity of certain enzymes.
Dr. Goldson-Barnaby addended Wolmer's High School for Girls where she became interest in Food Technology. She earned both her Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry and Food Chemistry and her Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Applied Organic Chemistry from The UWI, Mona. She then went on to study at the University of British Columbia, Canada where she was earned her Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Food Science.
